Hey there! I’m Racheal. Welcome to the latest evolution of my life’s work, TheYogipreneur.com. You can find me here most days, where in between blowing bubbles and trips to the park with my almost-2-year-old twins, I wax philosophically about enlightened entrepreneurship, mindful marketing, and occasionally ramble about my latest geeky “eureka!” discoveries in the world of social media & online marketing. The other days, you can find me at RachealCook.com, where I document the challenges and triumphs of this experiment in conscious lifestyle design via photography, writing, and occasional videos about raising conscious children, the genius of bathtub crayons and savoring all the delicious simple pleasures in life.

I used to be a woo-woo in wolves clothing.

In May 2008, I walked away from what some may consider an ideal life. We were just days away from closing on our beautiful new townhouse, over 2700 square feet of luxurious living, complete with all the upgrades and bells and whistles. Three days from closing, I was starting to feel claustrophobic in all that space.

My financial planning practice was thriving – I had more clients and small businesses than I could handle, and all the money in the world didn’t make up for the fact that I was deeply unhappy and unfulfilled working with people who’s energy was focused on the bottom line, without regard to the impact.

When the panic attacks started and the adrenal fatigue really kicked in, I took a leave of absence, pulled out of the contract for our house, and took myself on my first retreat. Three months later, yoga healed my body {and renewed my spirit}, and for the first time ever allowed me a glimpse into the person who I already was and the person I wanted to be.

I accepted a position with lululemon athletica, flew to Vancouver BC to spend an entire month with their powerhouse team, and conceived The Yogipreneur. The beautiful yogis surrounding me, especially my teacher the late Arlene Bjork, asked if I could help them transform from barely surviving as a teacher to THRIVING with opportunities and growth.

Just a few years later, The Yogipreneur has evolved into something way bigger than just helping local teachers fill their classes. It’s become a conscious think tank, a lovely laboratory, a passionate playground where mindfulness and marketing skip hand-in-hand, providing you with the training and resources to serve more people while honoring yourself and your family.

This is my personal mission – to help enlightened entrepreneurs to design businesses that love you back. To create a leveraged business that allows you to work when and where you want, that provides the lifestyle you wish for yourself and your family, that lets you hand-select the clients you want to work with {who you can serve with your whole heart, a lovely side-effect of a full inspiration tank}.

It is my deepest desire to provide conscious mamapreneurs {and conscious dadpreneurs too} the support, resources, strategy and training to share your passion with a community you love while having the freedom, flexibility, and fulfillment of honoring your family.
